Green Giant has secured a sponsorship deal with Australian soap opera Neighbours.
The General Mills brand will screen a series of ‘idents’ around the show over the course of a three-month deal that began on 2 August.
“Like the long-running soap, Green Giant is a well-loved household name,” said General Mills UK’s marketing director, Ed Culf.
“We are committed to ensuring that Green Giant continues to drive consumer demand for sweetcorn and builds on the 7.8% value category growth achieved over the last year.”
Neighbours – which attracted an all-time high 20 million viewers for the wedding of Scott and Charlene during its 80s heyday – switched channels from BBC One to Five in 2007.
