Rapid growth in the wine box market will be fuelled this summer by the first national advertising campaign for major South African brand Namaqua. Importer Raisin Social said the brand was the leading South African boxed wine and the white version was the biggest selling white wine box last year [ACNielsen, 12 months to December]. Namaqua's volume growth was up 116% and value had increased 118% to £8.5m.
