Struggling crisps and snacks manufacturer Snackhouse has stressed it is not for sale following press reports that Scottish entrepreneur Tom Hamilton is putting together a £20m bid for the company. MD Denis Heywood said: "We have not received any approaches, and the board is confident of returning to profitability. We are certainly not actively looking for a buyer." Earlier this month, Snackhouse posted a pre-tax loss of £2m on sales down 32% to £18.1m for the six months to May 31. Heywood stressed the company had regained a major own label multiple contract with a multiple and won new business with another. {{NEWS }}
