Camelot will take the Gambling Commission to court next week in an attempt to shut down The Health Lottery.

Camelot wants to bring judicial review proceedings against what it claimed was a “failure” by the Gambling Commission to properly regulate The Health Lottery. Camelot CEO Diane Thompson said the Health Lottery was “an attempt to commercialise a society lottery.”

Health Lottery chief executive Martin Hall said the claims were “devoid of merit”.
