Britvic’s Robinsons Fruit Shoot is set for a return to shelves by the end of August.

In press adverts published today, Britvic said it had fixed the packaging safety issue that led to the drink’s recall at the beginning of July.

The company said Fruit Shoot was now back in production, with products returning to shelves at the end of next month.

Earlier this month Britvic identified an issue with a small number of damaged caps and withdrew all Fruit Shoot and Fruit Shoot Hydro packs as a “precautionary measure” as there was a risk that the caps could become fully or partially detached.

Britvic subsequently warned investors the full cost of the recall could reach £25m – five times more than it initially forecast.
