Greencore joined the FTSE UK Index and FTSE SmallCap Index today after obtaining a listing on the London Stock Exchange in January.
The ready meals manufacturer delisted from the Irish Stock Exchange in search of greater investment and liquidity in London.
Since making the move, Greencore shares have risen from 52.5p to over 80p. However, this morning the shares retreated 2.7% to 81.75p.
Greencore’s CEO Patrick Coveney, who had marketed the switch to London saying it would open the company to a greater range of investors, said at the company’s AGM last month that he was “very happy” with how the shares were performing in London.
