Molson Coors has clinched the €2.65bn (£2.14bn) acquisition of Czech brewer StarBev.
The deal was for the Staropramen brewer was first announced in April and received the green light from European competition authorities earlier this month.
Mark Hunter, who previously headed up Molson Coors’ UK & Ireland business, is relocating to head up the Carling brewer’s Central European business.
The acquisition includes Staropramen, the business unit’s flagship brand with sales in more than 30 countries worldwide.

“Since the initial announcement, we have spent considerable time in-market and engaging with the local teams. We are more excited than ever about the numerous opportunities we see in this business and in the region.
