Convenience food business Greencore has appointed two non-executive directors to its board following the retirement of the chairman and another non-exec.
Heather Ann McSharry and John Warren will replace chairman Ned Sullivan and non-executive director Pat McCann, who will step down after Greencore’s AGM on 29 January.
McSharry has held a string of senior positions, mainly in Ireland, including time as Ireland managing director for Reckitt Benckiser. She is also chairman of the Bank of Ireland Pension Fund Trustee Board, and the Audit and Finance Committee, part of the Irish Industrial Development Agency.
Warren also has extensive experience. He is former group finance director of United Biscuits, holds non-executive director positions at The Rank Group and Bovis Home Group, and is chairman of Greencore-acquired business Uniq.
“On behalf of everybody at Greencore, I would like to welcome these outstanding market leaders to theboard,” said Greencore chairman designate Gary Kennedy. “Their diverse skills and international experience in markets will bring a greater focus for the Group as it moves forward in its development.”
McSharry and Warren will join Greencore officially from 30 January 2013.
