Confectionery supplier Zetar has set up a French subsidiary in Lille to spearhead a sales offensive in mainland Europe.

The business will be led by Olga Bredin, former licence manager for Bon Bon Buddies in France, who will be tasked with building European sales, mainly in France and the Benelux countries.

The company is attending the ISM confectionery trade show in Cologne, to introduce itself to continental retailers.

Zetar has extended licences for Hello Kitty, Power Rangers and The Simpsons to Europe and has begun work on a Christmas product range for France and Belgium. It is also looking for new licences specific to the two countries.
