Yorkshire Tea owner Taylors of Harrogate is to launch a coffee called After Dark to satisfy what it says is growing demand for darkly roasted coffees.

After Dark (rsp: £2.69) is a blend of African, Latin American and Indonesian arabica beans. It goes on sale at selected Tesco stores from 5 July and selected Morrisons outlets from early August.

"The new blend's intensely chocolatey and nutty flavours make it ideal for evening drinking," said brand manager Kevin Sinfield. The new line is the company's first Rainforest Alliance-certified coffee.
