Northern Irish crisps and snacks producer Tayto has bought Golden Wonder’s production facility at Corby along with the licence to make Pringles Mini’s for Procter & Gamble.

Tayto acquired the site through an affiliate company, CTO Holdings, after Golden Wonder collapsed into administration this week.

Tayto’s md, Stephen Hutchinson, said: “We believe this can only strengthen our reputation as a nationally recognised brand building company. We expect to build on this new relationship with Procter & Gamble.

The move will secure the jobs of the 195 employees at the Corby site.
