Allied Domecq Spirits & Wines UK has appointed Alison Levett as MD to oversee the development of its portfolio of brands, including Tia Maria, Courvoisier and Tia Lusso.
She was formerly MD of the Campbell Soup Company's UK operations before Brian Mirsky took over from her in June 2002.
While in that post, she was instrumental in the group's acquisition and successful integration of Unilever's Batchelor's Cup a Soup, Batchelor's Supernoodles and Oxo brands.
Before her three-year stint as MD, she held the posts of commercial director and marketing director for Campbell Soup UK. Senior marketing roles prior to that included marketing director for Reckitt & Colman, where she was responsible for Colman's mustard and sauces and Robinsons soft drinks. She developed the overall marketing strategy for Colman's and oversaw the growth of Robinsons Fruit & Barley.
Levett succeeds Chris Heath who was made MD of the group's Spanish business in September.
Neil Everitt, president of Allied Domecq Europe, who was overseeing Heath's role until she was named as his replacement, said: "Levett's strong experience in brand marketing and clear leadership skills will greatly enhance our UK operation.
"She brings with her experience of building teams and brands which will be valuable."
