Asda to offer 3D printing

Asda is set to become the first UK supermarket to offer a 3D printing service.

The technology will be trialled at Asda’s York superstore from 15 October, with prices averaging £40 a print. The retailer said it would allow shoppers to create miniature 3D figurines of themselves.

“We’re excited to see how customers will take advantage of 3D printing and it’s guaranteed to be a talking point this Christmas,” said Asda retail director Mark Ibbotson.
