GS1 UK has updated its data management system TrueSource - introducing a new interface and improved functionality.
Like its predecessor, TrueSource 2.0 helps retailers and suppliers ensure product information is identical whether it’s on the back of a packet, a website or a mobile app.
However, the new-look system reduced the number of steps required to code and publish product information, said GS1. This would save time and money, and would ensure accurate, consistent and up-to-date information, it added.
“Having a single version of the truth reduces overheads and enhances the consumer experience,” said GS1 UK CEO Gary Lynch.
