Leading Scottish lager brand Tennent’s is smartening up its image with a new can for the take-home market.
The can design is in silver and emphasises the brand’s red T logo. The can has switched from steel to aluminium.
In the mid-1960s, Tennent’s cans featured ‘Housewives Choice’ - 20 women, each with a different beer-related recipe. ‘Lager Lovelies’ such as Ann, Linda and Violet came next. The ladies left the cans in 1991.
Mark Latkowski, head of business development for Interbrew’s Scottish take-home market, said: “The new cans capture the essence and heritage of the lager in a modern way.”
