Milk-in-a-stick brand Dairystix is making a retail debut to replicate its success in foodservice.

Dairystix, ambient 10ml tube-shaped plastic sachets containing 100% farm assured milk, are being rolled into Tesco now (£1.49 per pack of 20). They would target consumers who didn't use enough milk to keep buying fresh, said Tony FitzHenry, general manager for Dairystix.

The product was launched into the foodservice sector in 2007 as an alternative to plastic jigger pots. Since launch, it had generated £4.5m in foodservice sales, according to FitzHenry.
