Tesco has slashed the price of its organic fruit and vegetables by 20% in a bid to boost sales.

The retailer said the promotion will run for three weeks until the end of National Organic Week, on October 12.

Combined with the promotion, selected Tesco stores will be running tasting sessions and distributing information leaflets to customers.

A direct mail drop will also go out to 400,000 customers giving details on how to eat organic all day, every day, and featuring money off coupons to the value of £14.
