The man from Del Monte has said yes to a return to TV screens and will be appearing in a £2m campaign for the brand's Fruit Express range from Thursday (October 4). The 1980s brand icon will promote the ready-to-eat fruit dessert brand, in his first new ad for two years. Shot in Spain, it aims to use humour to communicate the message that the products are made from only the best and ripest fruit. Launched earlier this year, the Fruit Express range includes single-serve pots of Peach Pieces in Juice and Pear and Peach Pieces in Juice (rsp: 69p). It also has twin packs of Peach Pieces in Light Syrup, Pear and Peach Pieces in Light Syrup, Mixed Fruit Pieces in Light Syrup, Tropical Mixed Fruit in Light Syrup and Passionfruit Juice and Pineapple Chunks in Light Syrup (rsp: 99p).
