September 30, 1900. Dried fruit: If the condition of hte market is less marked in its excitement than last week, there is still a considerable amount of that feeling apparent, and values of Currants are very strong. The "Balgowrie" has, since our last report, arrived with some 550 tons of well assorted Currants, but inasmuch as a large proportion of this is being cleared ex quay, the quantity left in merchants' hands will be extremely small. The fruit by this boat is considered to turn out very satisfactory, having regard, of course, to the conditions of this season. {{COUNTERPOINT }}
