A resurgent Iceland got the icing on the cake when it walked away with the Retail Product of the Year in addition to Best New Dessert/Confectionery Product for its Iceland Party 12 Mini Jaffa Muffins at the British Frozen Food Awards 2006. Voted top by panels of consumers across the country, the muffins were described as excellent value, very tasty and the ideal food for parties. The British Frozen Food Federation, which runs the awards, said that the accolades clearly demonstrated Iceland's intention to take the business back to where it was five years ago. "In a massive review and renaissance of its product range, which is bringing excellent sales results, the Mini Jaffa Muffins appealed massively to the panellists," it said. The awards, now in their 19th year, reward advances of quality and product development in frozen foods.
