Ferrero Rocher, once the darling of ambassadors' receptions and dinner parties, is revealing its informal side this Christmas via a £6m marketing campaign.

A TV ad breaking on Monday focuses on casual festive get-togethers, based around the theme that the chocolate adds sparkle to any occasion. Taking the style of a Bond film's opening credits, and featuring the silhouettes of dancing women, it is aimed at a younger age group and

carries the strapline 'Share something special'.

Marketing director Dave Tucker said the campaign was a change of tack for the brand and would bridge the gap between formal and everyday occasions.
