The Co-operative Group has jazzed up the electrical appliance displays in its food stores and extended the number of products on sale.

New-look fixtures featuring LED lighting, TVs and promotional bays were installed at 32 food stores this week following a successful trial at five stores. The Co-op Group will bring out the new displays at a further 33 food stores in the new year.

The new displays will feature a bigger range of more than 100 small appliances including everything from headphones to food processors. “The in-store electrical shops will be open during the same trading hours as the food stores, unlike most traditional electrical stores, making it much easier for consumers to find and buy what they want and when they want,” said Sean Toal, The Co-operative Food’s acting CEO.
