Alcoholic drinks continues to dominate in store and has a wide range of products on promotion. The category is making particular use of floor stacks and gondola ends. Confectionery and household are in the chart this week, at numbers three and four respectively. Confectionery is supported by the activity on Cadbury which rises to number one in the brand chart. Birds Eye returns to the brand chart, at number two, and is accompanied by Ambrosia, Boddingtons and Vaseline. Coca-Cola remains stable at number three but has not prevented soft drinks from dropping out of the top five categories. Safeway moves up the chart again, this time securing the number one spot.
