The Share A Coke promotion has been “exceptional”, according to Coca-Cola Enterprises’ GB VP of sales and marketing Nick Canney, and has paved the way for a bigger campaign for 2014.

“We’ve gone from 250 names last year to over 1,500 names this year. Everybody’s name is out there now,” he told The Grocer.

“We’re massively proud of the campaign we put on with Share A Coke. It was remarkable, and the uplift associated with that and the consumer demand associated with that has been exceptional.”

Last week, CCE won Consumer Initiative of the Year at The Grocer Gold Awards.

“Any recognition is always hard won. When it comes from the trade press, you know it’s been scrutinised to the nth degree,” said Canney.
