And with the backing of several retailer incentives - including rebate offers - the scheme has resulted in sales uplifts of 40% on some bestselling lines, bringing in £50m in additional brand sales and driving an extra £13.75m in profit. “This was a genuinely useful business initiative that helped retailers understand how to maximise returns,” said one judge. “It gave small businesses big business thinking and sales analysis, helping them to look at their range and isolate the big winners. It’s offering data-driven insight for people that may not have been in a position to do it themselves.”
