Kettle Foods, makers of Kettle Chips, has announced the appointment of Peter Wilson as marketing director.
The role has been vacant since Keith Stevens left the company to join Mars as general manager, Cape Town, at the end of last year.
Wilson will report directly to MD Jeremy Bradley, with responsibility for developing the Kettle Foods business and the Kettle Chips brand.
Wilson was previously group marketing manager at Pfizer Consumer Healthcare. He also worked at GlaxoSmithKline oral care and agencies Grey network and Saatchi and Saatchi.
Wilson said that Kettle was a company full of passionate people who were genuinely obsessed with delivering the best-quality crisps available.
“They have strong ethics and genuinely unique equities and I look forward to sharing these with consumers who are passionate about the quality of food. The NPD pipeline is overflowing with innovation starting with a unique product positioning in January 2006.”
