This is an exciting time to be involved with the coffee market,

as consumers become more educated and enthusiastic about

what they drink.

Consumption, thanks in part to the rise in café culture and, more recently, home coffee machines, has resulted in a desire for a more premium quality espresso-based coffee. The logical next step is for consumers to be able to recreate this drink for themselves at home.

Other product offerings, such as sustainable coffee projects, are also continuing to be popular with consumers, having created a long-term place within the coffee category.

Although we are still some way behind our European neighbours, I think the future for the coffee market looks

strong as consumers continue to explore different coffee

tastes and strengths.

The challenge for producers is to be able to take consumers

to the next level, offering added value product ranges and bringing something new and exciting to the market.
