The Thresher Group has nationally listed an English wine for the first time, giving the English Wine industry another boost.

Chapel Down Brut, a sparkling wine, will be stocked in 400 branches of Threshers and Wine Rack across the UK.

The wine is a blend of Pinot Noir, Reichensteiner and Rivaner grapes and was one of 21 English wines to win a medal in the International Wine Challenge, organised by William Reed this year.

It will retail for £15.99 or customers can buy three bottles or more for £12.79 a bottle. "We are pleased to be listing Chapel Down Brut nationally," said a Thresher spokesman.
