GlaxoSmithKline has handed the dual-purpose Aquafresh Tooth & Tongue toothbrush its TV debut in a £1m campaign running into next month. The 30-second ad, which centres around a young woman and a little boy who sticks out his tongue, highlights the fact that the tongue is a major source of bacteria. It goes on to introduce the Tooth & Tongue brush, designed to build on the finding that many people were already using their conventional brushes for tongue hygiene. The ad ends with the strapline ‘Take the feeling of clean to the extreme’.
