Unilever took the cutesy approach for its current Persil TV ad, in which a young girl voices her ambition to become a penguin when she grows up. By pulling her hooded top down over her knees and waddling around the garden she does a very credible impression of a penguin, albeit a very muddy one. It was a refreshing change from the standard lad's grubby football kit theme and demonstrated that girls can dirty their clothes just as effectively when they put their minds to it.
