Leeds Corn Exchange is
undergoing a refurbishment to transform it into a major destination for food lovers.
Developers are putting £1.5m into restoring the grade I-listed building as a food emporium that will house 40 specialist food shops, a restaurant and non-food stores offering regional and international products.
The ground floor piazza will house a large restaurant, with food retailers on the first floor and cookware stores on the second. "The individual units facing into a courtyard are perfect for a food-related experience," said Adrian Johnson from Central Retail, which is marketing the centre.
