Booths is investing £1.75m in revamping its flagship Lakes Food Store in Keswick, Cumbria.
It was hit by floods a year ago, but the makeover is part of an ongoing revamp of all Booths’ 26 stores. The shop will place even more emphasis on local produce, traditionally a strong focus for Booths, which is ranked third among The Grocer Top 50 independent retailers.
Meat and fish counters and the salad bar will be improved, extra counters will be installed, including a hot carvery, and the product range will be broadened. Booths’ new logo will be used throughout. Initial work has been done, but the store will close from January 29 to February 13 for it to be completed.
