Hazlewood Foods is pouring £19.5m into its chilled ready meals facilities at Warrington and Wisbech. A total of £13.5m will be invested to refurbish the Warrington site, creating one facility out of its two existing production units. Development will take place in three phases, scheduled for completion in March 2005. The site specialises in Italian ready meals, producing 36 million meals per year. Hazlewood is also investing £6m in its Wisbech site to double capacity and create up to 200 new jobs. The company plans to add three major new lines to the site by 2004.
