Burger King, the fast food chain formerly owned by Diageo, could be set to change hands once again.

Diageo sold the business in 2002 to Texas Pacific, Bain Capital and Goldman Sachs for $1.5bn.

The business was publicly floated in 2006 but has recently been in talks with private equity investors over a possible sale, according to the Guardian.

The UK-based venture capital group 3i, whose investments include the Refresco soft drinks business, has been linked with a bid for Burger King.
