Speciality oils supplier AarhusKarlshamn was yesterday named as Food and Drink Exporter of the Year 2005’ at the Food from Britain Export Awards, sponsored by The Royal Bank of Scotland and The Grocer.

The company also won Grocery Exporter of the Year award and Private Label Exporter of the Year award.

Other notable winners at the event held yesterday at The Savoy in London included Neal's Yard Dairy which won the Image of Britain Exporter of the Year Award as well as the Export Inspiration Award. Ilchester Cheese Company and Framgord also won two awards apiece.

Meanwhile, AS Watson was named as FFB's International Retailer of the Year.

Other companies picking awards were Mayur Foods; St Peter's Brewery; Gourmet's Choice; The Classic Mineral Water Company; Anglesey Sea Salt; Feel Good Drinks Company; Tyrrells Potato Chips; and Pilchard Works.
