Highland Spring is splashing out £4.5m on a marketing support programme for the bottled mineral water brand ­ a 50% increase on last year's budget. The advertising push starts in June when it will use cinema ads for the first time to support the 500ml sports bottle which was launched last year with a £3m marketing spend. The campaign, aimed at 16-34 year olds, will also include ads in women's press and London Underground posters. Sports sponsorship will be a key part of the marketing programme. It is sponsoring Team Highland Spring, featuring snooker players Stephen Hendry and Ronnie O'Sullivan, as well as golfing and rugby events. Highland Spring ­ which the company says grew by 35% last year ­ also plans to launch a new design for its bottles later this year. {{P&P }}
