Dutch-based retail group Ahold has set the criteria that its new chief executive, Anders Moberg, must meet to get a bonus in 2003.

Ahold said it had set financial, strategic and stabilization targets for Moberg, which relate to the group’s three-year ‘road to recovery programme’.

This following 10 months of investigations after accounting scandals were unearthed at the group’s US Foodservice operations.

If all targets were met, the maximum Moberg will receive would be 250% of his base salary of 980,775 euros.

The criteria will be discussed in Ahold's general shareholders meeting on November 26.
