Tio Pepe has confirmed that it is to sponsor the seventh Carlton London Restaurant Awards.
The deal fits in with the drive to market Gonzalez Byass' Fino sherry as an appetite stimulant.
Fiona Lovatt, marketing manager for First Drinks,Tio Pepe's UK distributor, said: "Our current above and below-the-line communication strategy heavily focuses on encouraging people to enjoy a glass of Tio Pepe before food to awaken the appetite for food."
The Tio Pepe sponsorship package includes London press and television coverage of the event.
There will be Tio Pepe branded break bumpers during the one hour Carlton-televised awards ceremony due to be shown next March.
