Confidence in the RTD sector plunged to a new low last week as market leading supplier Bacardi-Martini confirmed it was axing another brand from its portfolio.

Launched in 2001, Martini Spirito was dropped a week after The Grocer revealed that stablemate Coomira Coast was also being axed.

The cull will enable the company to focus on Bacardi Breezer and a top secret new cocktail RTD - expected in the next few months.
