The world's largest food fair, Anuga in Cologne, will be easier to navigate after organiser Koelnmesse announced it would divide the 285,000 sq m event into 10 specialised trade fairs.
This year's show, which runs from October 11-15, will be shared between fine food, gourmet, chilled, meat, frozen, dairy, bread and bakery, drinks, catering technology and retail technology.
Koelnmesse executive board member Wolfgang Kranz said: "We want to strengthen the Anuga brand, while at the same time granting more independence and prominence to the individual food fairs."
The "10 trade fairs under one roof" concept would allow exhibitors and visitors to use their resources and time more efficiently. Food from Britain said over 50 UK firms had so far signed up for stands.
