Bramleys start well The new Bramley season is expected to start on a better note than last season, because there will be virtually no crop carryover. This forecast has been made by grower Ian Mitchell, the chairman of the Bramley promotional group. "There will be a far better start than last year which was a disaster for many people," he said. Arrivals of the first fruit are expected by the end of August, although Mitchell has, as in previous years, advised that fruit should be left on the tree to keep the market in balance and, more importantly, ensure maturity. {{FRESH PRODUCE }}
