Scottish Enterprise and the Royal Highland & Agricultural Society of Scotland have joined forces to launch the Scottish Food and Drink Conference and Excellence Awards. To be made annually, the Scottish Food and Drink Excellence Awards will recognise distinction in both the retail and service sectors. They replace the Food from Scotland Excellence Awards formerly made by the RHASS at the Royal Highland Show each June. Jonathan Tait, director of food and drink at Scottish Enterprise, said: "There are many in the industry who deserve serious recognition for the development of quality businesses, and that is what we are hoping to see this year with the Excellence Awards."
