Our thanks to the Express newspaper for spotting this story which we would ask you to file under strange but true'. Here goes...A thief walked into James Phillip's grocery shop in Cincinatti warning that he would be back in 30 minutes to rob the place. Phillips waited patiently as the robber stood outside the AmeriStop Food Mart for half an hour. "I think he was waiting for customers to buy stuff so there would be more money in the register," Phillips later told police. The robber walked back into the store and Phillips obligingly handed over $300 in cash. A police spokesman said it was "rather surprising" that Phillips did not think to just lock the door during those 30 minutes. {{COUNTERPOINT }}
