Eatwell is giving microwaveable sandwiches more bite with the launch of its Feasters baguettes. The chilled products are ready to eat after microwaving for two minutes, which results in a hot crusty sandwich.
The baguettes have an extended shelf life and an rsp of £1.70 for three varieties: steak & onion, ham & cheese, and chicken tikka. They are packaged in an inner microwaveable sleeve that retains heat for quick cooking, while the packaging is made from clear plastic so that shoppers can see the contents.
The new products are launching at next month’s Convenience Retailing Show at the Birmingham NEC.
