Bacardi-Martini UK has appointed a new chief executive following the announcement that the current UK and Netherlands region MD Stella David is to become the president of Bacardi’s US region.
John Beard, currently vice president of emerging markets, will take up the new CEO role on December 1, as well as maintaining his responsibility for
Russia/CIS and global duty free/retail business.
David will take up her president’s role in the US next April when she will succeed Eduardo Sardina. In July 2006 she will also take overall responsibility for North America when Sardina retires, adding Canada, Puerto Rico and the Caribbean to her remit.
John Burke is moving from the UK division to Bacardi’s global unit to take up the global marketing directorship for Bacardi rum. Andrew Carter will replace Burke as director of marketing for spirits and will be responsible for the long-term strategic development of Bacardi rum, the Martini brands, Grey Goose vodka and Bombay Sapphire gin.
