Jim Begg has scooped an award for his contribution to the dairy trade this year.
The Dairy UK director-general was presented with the Dairy Industry Award, sponsored by Dairy Crest, at the Bath & West Dairy Show earlier this week.
The annual gong recognises the person deemed to have made the greatest individual contribution to the trade’s development each year.
“The dairy industry is a great place to work,” Begg said.
“The combination of our natural climatic advantages for milk production, global population trends and our increasingly innovative processing industry means the outlook for this industry is extremely positive.”
