Developer Dunloe Ewart has weighed into the battle to build much needed shopping in Belfast city centre. It has submitted plans for a £150m, 323,000 sq ft development to be called Cathedral Way. Dunloe's move comes as the Belfast Regeneration Board is considering competing proposals from MEPC, Land Securities and Dutch developer MDC. Dunloe, however, would appear to have the advantage since it owns 85% of the land needed. According to the Regeneration Office, more than one centre might get the go ahead eventually. "There is no doubt that Belfast can sustain one and a half to two shopping complexes over a period of time," it has said. {{PROPERTY }}
