Wolverhampton & Dudley is launching a bitter to kickstart what the brewer promises will be a year of innovation.
Marston’s FC smooth bitter is the result of a £1m investment by the company. The ‘easy-drinking, full-flavoured’ brew will be available in the on-trade initially with an off-trade launch planned for later this year if it proves popular with consumers.
The brewer said the introduction “spearheaded new product development plans for
WDB brands”.
Peter Jackson, WDB brands marketing director, said: “Marston’s FC was developed in response to consumer research, which revealed that although drinkers enjoy the easy-to-drink factor of a smooth beer, they are increasingly looking for more taste.”
More than £500,000 has been earmarked to fund advertising in the Central and Granada regions this spring.
