Blueheath has struck a deal with US oil giant Murco to supply 50 company-owned forecourt sites, taking its customer base beyond the 1,500 stores mark.
The deal, coming hot on the heels of Blueheath's tie-up with The Grocer Top 50 company Snax24, will not affect Murco's relationship with Costcutter, which supplies the rest of its company-owned estate.
Murco supplies more than 400 sites in the UK, 100 of which are company-owned. Of these, 48 are supplied by Costcutter.
The 50 stores signed up with Blueheath were generally too small for the Costcutter offer and were previously supplied by a variety of sources from P&H McLane to local cash and carries, said Murco retail development manager Jim Mulheran.
"We have been trialling with Blueheath for a few months now and went with them because they offer a delivered service at cash & carry prices.
"We also needed to get consistency in ranging," added Mulheran.
The stores will continue to operate under the Checkout and Shop Stop fascias.
