The EPoS-based system, designed by Blueheath, gives suppliers a breakdown of how well their products are selling on a store-by-store and geographical basis. It also more clearly outlines the penetration of a product by retail sector.
Retailers can also access a dedicated area that will highlight the products they do not stock that are selling well in their region or similar retailers. They can obtain details of the promotions that would be most effective for them.
Douglas Gurr, Blueheath chief executive, said: “Our suppliers will have known how many SKUs they were selling, but not necessarily to whom they were selling them or where they were selling best. Now they do.”
The information enables suppliers to target regions or retail sectors with NPD and promotional information.
